Oppenheimer won seven Oscars, including Best Picture

Oppenheimer won the Oscar for Best Picture. For their work on the film, Christopher Nolan received a statuette as best director, Cillian Murphy as best actor, and Robert Downey Jr. as best supporting actor. In total, “Oppenheimer” received seven statuettes, “The Poor and Unfortunate” received four, and “Zone of Interest” received two. Nominated for eight categories, “Barbie” won only for best song.

“Oppenheimer” also received statuettes for best music (Ludwig Göransson), best editing (Jennifer Leim), and best cinematography (Hoyte van Hoytema). “Zone of Interest” won an Oscar for best sound (Tarn Willers and Johnny Byrne), and “Barbie” won an Oscar for best song (“What Was I Made For?” Billie Eilish). The Lost Losers won three statuettes for Best Makeup and Hairstyling (Nadia Stacey, Mark Coulier, Josh Weston), Best Production Design (James Price, Shauna Heath, Zsuzsa Michalek) and Best Costume Design (Holly Waddington). The winner of the award for best visual effects was “Godzilla: Minus One.”

Other contenders for the title of best film were “American Fiction,” “Anatomy of a Fall,” “Barbie,” “The Leftovers,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” “Past Lives,” “The Unfortunate,” and “Zone of Interest.”
