Bitcoin exceeded $71 thousand for the first time in history

The price of Bitcoin exceeded $71 thousand for the first time in history, trading data shows. As of 10:36 Moscow time, bitcoin rose in price to $71.1 thousand. By 10:50 Moscow time, bitcoin accelerated its growth and rose to $71.2 thousand.

According to calculations by the CoinMarketCap platform, which calculates the average price for more than 20 exchanges, the cost of Bitcoin increased by 1.48% per day. The previous absolute maximum was reached on March 5 – $69.2 thousand. Before this, the Bitcoin rate reached a record value on November 10, 2021 – $68.9 thousand.

The Bitcoin price has been growing since the end of January – on January 22 it was worth another $39.5 thousand. Experts expect that by the end of the year the price of Bitcoin will rise to $100 thousand. The main reason for the growth is the relaxation of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which in January approved the first country’s Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
