Anicorn and Brutto Studio’s dynamic, icon-free wristwatch celebrates the beauty of tardiness

The partnership between Anicorn Watches’ The Trio of Time (TTT) and Brutto Studio has culminated in the creation of the Be Late wristwatch, a timepiece that celebrates the concept of tardiness as an art form. Crafted by Brutto Studio, this watch showcases a dynamic design featuring the phrase ‘Don’t Worry, Be Late’ set against a black background, highlighted by vibrant shapes that come together to form a face. The deliberate omission of hour and minute markers underscores the message of taking time to savor life’s moments instead of hurrying through them. By endorsing the notion that being late is permissible, this wristwatch advocates for a more laid-back attitude towards managing our time.
In a society that often celebrates timeliness and meticulously counts every second, the Be Late wristwatch, a collaboration between Anicorn and Brutto Studio, offers a refreshing viewpoint on the concept of lateness. It suggests that life doesn’t always have to be hurried and that there’s value in occasionally taking a leisurely pace. This timepiece, a creation of the Hong Kong-based watchmaker in partnership with the studio from Spain, features a Japanese Miyota 2035 Quartz movement, is encased in a 39mm 316L stainless steel body with a thickness of 8.7mm, and is protected by mineral glass. It comes with a genuine leather strap that includes an innovative docking system and a stainless steel buckle, and it boasts water resistance up to 5 ATM. The Be Late watch ultimately acts as a gentle nudge to live in the now.
