ART SG, the prestigious international art fair, is back for its second run at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, situated at the iconic Marina Bay Sands in the bustling heart of Singapore. The fair set to offer an enthralling exhibition featuring over 110 galleries from 33 countries and territories, representing the pinnacle of modern art.
The fair commenced with an exclusive VIP Preview and Vernissage, providing an early look at the rich diversity of the art world. ART SG transcends traditional art fair models, presenting a variety of gallery exhibits, impressive large-scale art pieces, engaging panel discussions, an intriguing film series, and broad activations throughout the city. In partnership with Singapore Art Week, the city’s premier visual arts festival, ART SG 2024 is shaping up to be a monumental cultural event.
The fair is organized into three primary sections: GALLERIES, FOCUS, and FUTURES. This year’s event features a diverse array of artistic works from 68 premier international and regional galleries, including a mix of disciplines such as painting, sculpture, drawing, installation, photography, video, and digital art. Esteemed galleries like White Cube and TARO NASU will be present, showcasing works by acclaimed artists such as Tracey Emin, Isamu Noguchi, Simon Fujiwara, and others. Exciting Southeast Asian galleries will also make their presence felt, introducing a fusion of both renowned and up-and-coming artists. The FOCUS section will highlight 36 exhibitions that emphasize the evolution of artistic practices, the use of various mediums, and the promotion of artists from emerging to mid-career stages.
Moreover, the FUTURES section is dedicated to nurturing young galleries, featuring 11 galleries with specially curated exhibitions. Throughout the duration of the fair, attendees can delve into large-scale, site-specific installations, partake in a curated selection of films, and participate in stimulating discussions with prominent figures in the art world. With these offerings, ART SG 2024 is set to provide a comprehensive and deeply engaging art experience.
