DIOR’s FW24 Collection will be showcased at Brooklyn Museum in New York City
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s newest collection draws inspiration from the enduring relationship between Dior and the United States, which has been present since the inception of the fashion house. The collection features an enticing range of menswear designs reimagined for women. Chiuri particularly focuses on the influence of New York City on Dior’s style and philosophy, and plans to unveil the Fall/Winter 2024 collection in the iconic city this April.
In an official statement, Dior describes the fashion show as a “captivating défilé,” directly inspired by the founder’s love for the mesmerizing American city. The collection will be displayed at the renowned Brooklyn Museum in Prospect Park.
Christian Dior once commented in his Petit dictionnaire de la mode, which served as a significant inspiration for this collection, “In recent years, tweeds have expanded their use to even formal suits. I believe they are incredibly elegant. Wearing them in the countryside is essential. Once, tweeds were only available in a heavier weight, but now they come in all weights, qualities, and colors.”
The fashion show is scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2024.
