Balmain launches Main Lab Collection

Under Olivier Rousteing’s leadership, Balmain is recognized for its vibrant yet sophisticated style that encompasses high fashion and edgy ready-to-wear pieces. Rousteing has a knack for merging traditional and modern elements, whether it’s a stunning pearl and beaded dress or a floral patent leather outfit. He is now expanding his exploration into sporty and slightly technical styles with the launch of the new Main Lab Collection.

The collection is inspired by the house’s top-selling luxury sneaker, the Unicorn, which was revealed on the Paris runway just two years ago. The sneaker, with its impressive aerodynamic structure and sleek form, combines technical, sporty, and luxury styles. The collection begins with a minimalist aesthetic highlighted by classic black and white hues. However, the simple tones are enhanced by exact lines, sharp cuts, and striking graphic designs. Another significant feature is the use of diverse textures, incorporating fleece and jersey materials with matte and reflective fabrics.
