Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, known for his previous collaboration with Adidas, has been appointed as the new head of design for Kanye West’s fashion brand, Yeezy. West announced the news on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating that Rubchinskiy would assume the role immediately. The move marks a significant milestone in design history, as Rubchinskiy joins Yeezy, a leading global brand in music and fashion. West’s return to the fashion industry follows a period of controversy, during which he lost partnerships with Balenciaga, Vogue, Adidas, and Gap due to his anti-Semitic remarks and public disputes with partner brands. Rubchinskiy, who has collaborated with brands like Burberry and Levi’s and runs his own label, is part of West’s strategy to revive Yeezy. Rubchinskiy shared on Instagram that he would be introducing a new direction for his own brand, distancing himself from previous collaborators Comme Des Garcons and Rassvet.
