Balmain introduces AI-driven project for Unicorn sneakers

Balmain has teamed up with Space Runners and American artist Ant Kai to use artificial intelligence (AI) to personalise the brand’s Unicorn sneakers. The project used Generative AI to offer unique customisation options, with Ant Kai adding his own touch to the Unicorn design. These exclusive sneakers will be sold at Balmain’s new Atlanta store and online. The partnership also aims to appeal to a wider audience, especially younger customers. Additionally, digital collectibles will be created on the Polygon blockchain platform, promoting environmentally friendly digital art. This partnership strengthens the existing relationship between Balmain and Space Runners, who previously collaborated on a digital-wearables and physical apparel collection for Paris Fashion Week. Space Runners believes this project could serve as a model for other luxury brands seeking authenticity and originality.
